Daily life (eating and sleeping)

By...Audrey
At home, the kids all share rooms (two boys in one...two girls in the other). In Costa Rica, Jack and Ella have their own room and Charlie and Liadan share a room. Ella loves her loft and she falls asleep much more easily here (it will be interesting when they have to adjust back to sharing a room when we are back home!).

Finally...her own room! : ) Finally...her own room! : )

Charlie and Lia love the view from their bedroom (Although unfortunately, I picked a cloudy day to the take pic.  I'll include another one soon). The other day I asked Charlie “how do like your room here?” Charlie said “Oh – I just love my roommate!”
Charlie and Lulu's room. They both wanted to wear their Costa Rica hats for the picture. Note the framed pictures near their beds - friends from home. :) Charlie and Lulu's room.     Shifting gears from sleeping arrangements to another of life's necessities...a few words about food. The “clean plate policy” at the school was probably our biggest fear as far as the kids adjusting to a new school. However, we’ve been surprised that they have managed to eat the food (we thought they would have considered a protest). They are required to eat a salad every day.  Jack is  convinced that there is a tomato conspiracy aimed at him due to his claim that he is given more tomatoes than anyone else (despite his strong dislike of them). Outside of school, the kids have discovered some new fruits here. Here are two favorites. …
Mamones Mamones - Guess who absolutely loves them?
Are you as surprised as we are that Ella Gavin loves them?! Are you as surprised as we are that Ella Gavin loves them?!
Charlie and Lulu with Granadillas (I have to admit I couldn't bring myself to try them..they look even less appetizing up close.) Charlie and Lulu with Granadillas (passion fruit). I have to admit I couldn't bring myself to try them..they look even less appetizing up close.

Yum? Yum?
