I just wanted to share some pictures of each of the kids and provide a quick update. Charlie enjoying a swim in Manuel Antonio.
Tom and I have been so happy to see Charlie’s relatively seamless adjustment to a new school and new home. He is a natural traveler…on a recent hike to a volcano, I was trudging along focused on the destination. Meanwhile, Charlie, with binoculars around his neck, stopped and pointed out the sights (“Did you see that?... The flower/plant/bird, etc”). A born traveler!
Liadan (and monkey) during mangrove tour.
She was thrilled to see the monkeys. We also saw a boa in the wild(!). I was taken aback, but awestruck at the same time. Liadan takes pride in her love of snakes…I’m just happy I didn’t pass down my fear to her (Ella is another story!).
My almost 12 year old!
Although school has been far from ideal for Jack, he still manages to enjoy the travels and adventures. He and Charlie did a night jungle hike with tom in Manuel Antonio and they couldn’t stop talking about it for days. Snakes, tarantulas, lizards were less than a foot away from them and they loved every minute.
A little lady full of surprises.
I have to admit we have been pleasantly surprised (aka shocked) by Ella’s transition to life in CR. She has made some nice friends and enjoys school. Ella also loves her loft at our house…she can’t wait for visitors from the States (that makes 6 of us!) and, of course, she always enjoys vacations!
