Arenal (few day trip)

After our day trip to La Paz, we sat around as a family and said “that was cooooo.  we still have a few more days before school starts…why not head somewhere else to explore for a couple of nights?”  We kicked around some ideas and the winner was “go to see the hot springs and the volcano.”  Of course, we were talking about leaving the next morning and it was about 7:30 pm so google became our friend.  Ella and Dad found a spot that looked cool and had availability and off we went (not knowing that it was the sister property of the La Paz property we had just visited!?!).

VERY cool hotel.  Massive property.  Hot springs pools all over the place.  Great rooms and views.  Horseback riding.  Rock climbing.  Tubing on the river.  And supposedly a volcano…although it was way too cloud to see it.  : (

Still an amazing trip!
