La Paz Waterfall Gardens (day trip)

Moving to another country, getting used to a more rural environment, starting a new school…it’s a lot for the kiddos.  So we have fit in a few fun trips before school starts.  The first was a day trip to La Paz Waterfall Gardens (and wildlife sanctuary).  Crazy drive to get there but SO worth it.  The kids were in heaven — holding toucans…hiking through cloud forest-ish area, seeing giant waterfalls.  Even the drive was an experience (up into the mountains…past coffee farms at the lower altitudes…then dairy farms near the top).  A GREAT day that helped the kids realize “wow…this year is going to be about more than just going to school in another country!”
